The most sought-after land in the city

The Dreta de l’Eixample area, which begins at Plaza de Catalunya and whose main artery is Passeig de Gràcia, has been known since the early 20th century as the “Quadrat d’Or” (“Golden Square”), as it contains much of the city’s most sought-after land.

This is the Eixample district, home to the greatest architectural jewels of Modernism, such as Casa Batlló, La Pedrera and Casa Amatller.
