RAMBLA DE CATALUNYA
The epicentre of commercial and leisure life
It is a beautiful boulevard, featuring a magnificent central promenade lined with lime trees and topped with a sculpture at each end.
Throughout the streets and avenues, and especially in Passeig de Gràcia, there are exclusive shops and boutiques of the most prestigious international brands, fine dining establishments, renowned hotels such as the Mandarin Hotel, and large cinemas and theatres.
THE “QUADRAT D’OR” OF BARCELONA
The most sought-after land in the city
The Dreta de l’Eixample area, which begins at Plaza de Catalunya and whose main artery is Passeig de Gràcia, has been known since the early 20th century as the “Quadrat d’Or” (“Golden Square”), as it contains much of the city’s most sought-after land.
This is the Eixample district, home to the greatest architectural jewels of Modernism, such as Casa Batlló, La Pedrera and Casa Amatller.
